This is the worst hotel I've stayed in a long time; the design is terrible and the facilities are substandard, though the staff were good.

The founding owner’s vision and meticulous attention to detail shine through, especially in the generous room and bathroom sizes that never feel cramped. However, the bathroom showers are tiny, lack any pressure, and have no overhead option—just a bucket‑style setup that barely satisfies basic needs. Adding a proper shower cubicle with overhead jets would be a welcome upgrade, because nowadays no one really misses a bathtub. Another issue is the outdoor floor tiles; they’re poorly set and unstable, so when it rains water pools under them and splashes onto anyone stepping on the tiles.

The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The Kerala‑inspired home design gives a unique touch, but for a star‑rated hotel it feels a bit too low‑key; everything is clean, neat, and well maintained, yet it feels more like a home than a hotel. I still liked it, just a little different than expected.
