“Basic campsites.Rather stay at the lodge itself and ask for John to guide you”

The lodge’s facilities were lovely, but campers could only use them when they weren’t fully booked; we booked the boma dinner, which was lovely with great presentation, selection, and tasty food. The game drive with John was superb—one of the best guides we’ve ever had, knowledgeable with eyes like binoculars! Thanks, John. The campsites were very basic, the bathroom facilities were old and broken (one toilet seat was missing and the bucket shower was unusable), and the campsites were very isolated and far from the lodge.

“Nice campsite”

We had a great one-night stay at Acacia Camp. The campsite was really spacious with a good fire setup and clean bathroom. The views were amazing, but getting there was a bit tricky - we had to stop at the Camelthorn Bush Camp reception first and get directions from there. Luckily, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything was spot on, no complaints!

“Kamperen in de wildernis”

This campsite is conveniently located on the way from Maun to Chobe, and it's a gorgeous spot with a waterhole view. The campsite itself is in the bush, but there are toilets and self-service showers nearby. One downside is that if there aren't many guests at the lodge, you have to head back to your campsite by 5 pm, which is right when the golden hour is happening at the waterhole.

This campsite is set in a huge area surrounded by bush, with plenty of wood available for starting fires. The communal facilities have a DIY hot water system at two plots, where you heat water over a fire, mix it to the right temperature, fill a bag, and wash up. It's pretty cool that elephants come to feed nearby. Check-in is at the Lodge reception.

“Great campsite”

We camped at Mopane2. Not much to say, just that the ablutions could use some lighting - solar panels maybe?
