Overall the place was clean, and the rainforest setting means you can’t escape the wildlife. The biggest disappointment was that the photos on the listing didn’t match reality – they seemed to be taken by the owner, showing a “new” look that doesn’t exist; the furnishings are actually old. It’s also far from Drake Bay, requiring a taxi for everything, which you should budget for. After landing we were quite thirsty and had to walk 2.5 km to find water, since there’s no supermarket on the route from the airport to the accommodation.

The sea views and the toucans perched on the tree in front of the property were lovely, and the owner’s service was attentive.

The location is dreamlike, completely peaceful with a sea view. From the balcony you can see the animals, hear the night sounds, and feel like you’re in paradise. The bed is very large and comfortable, the climate control works well, and the balcony and view are fantastic. The kitchen, however, has no counter space, no pots or pans—only a basic electric skillet—so it’s unsuitable for cooking. The windows don’t seal properly; when the lights are on at night, many bugs and other insects crawl into the apartment.
