The location is very good, right in the heart of Akureyri, but the room did not fully meet expectations—it was small with little space, the bathroom urgently needed renovation, and the fan ran constantly, which was annoying. The room faced the courtyard, requiring a trip up one floor through another corridor and then down two floors, which was cumbersome with luggage. There were no bath or hand towels, so I had to use my own. The breakfast buffet matched the hotel’s category, yet many items were already gone during our meal and staff had to repeatedly refill it. Overall, I expected more comfort and better room facilities for a hotel of this class.

The hotel is a classic, well‑run place right next to the iconic Akureyri Church and right in the town centre, making it a very convenient base for exploring Akureyri on foot. The room was comfortable with a good bed, and the facilities supplied everything needed for a pleasant stay. Overall, it’s a reliable and comfortable choice in a perfect location.
