We absolutely adored our stay at Greenfire Drakensberg. The location was incredible with endless views, the food was delicious, and each night featured a fascinating and varied three‑course meal. Breakfasts were indulgent, with pancakes, muffins, fresh fruit, and a cooked‑breakfast option. Jeremiah was a fantastic host and the rest of the staff were very accommodating. The lounge’s fireplace is the centerpiece and a great spot to gather for drinks and dinner. Nothing comes to mind that would detract from the experience.

The room’s layout is currently being upgraded, but otherwise everything was great.

We’re back for the second time and it’s still a hit—perfect escape spot that clears the mind. Walking paths are right outside the door, and the food is solid. Staff stay attentive, and the winter fireplaces are just right. Beds feel comfy and spotless. Will definitely return. The shower is hot, but I’d prefer it hotter—just a personal preference.

Our holiday at Greenfire Lodge was unforgettable; from arrival to departure Jeremiah and his crew met every need. The lodge sits in a remote setting with well‑marked trails, and though a high‑rise vehicle is required, the journey is worth it. Meals were tasty and wholesome, and the rooms were cozy with plenty of firewood for the cold nights. Jeremiah treated us like VIPs. This was our first visit to Greenfire Lodge, and we’re sure we’ll come back.
