The village setup was the main highlight.

The place has a distinctive style with a huge garden where kids could run and play, but it wasn’t very clean: the bathroom had used towels (which they changed right away) and one set of sheets had a bad smell that didn’t improve after we asked, the table was sticky and dirty, and the location is very secluded, which could be good or bad depending on what you’re after.

The ambience was nice and the place looked pretty, but there were frogs jumping in the toilet.

Located a few kilometres outside Kataragama in the jungle, this romantic natural clay house is quiet, very clean with a large room, a separate fancy bathroom that’s also spotless and stylish; they provide all the nature products, which is wonderful; the lady host is kind, friendly and helpful, her husband Lasanthe runs a tuktuk and drives you in a friendly way; I’d love to return and would rank it high on my list, and the lady even gave me tea and fruit.
