Whangarei itself has no Sunday buses and even on weekdays and Saturdays the services cut off early, which has nothing to do with the hotel; the library was closed on Sunday and a few shops were quiet.

There’s plenty of parking and a solid central spot, but the room lacked tea, coffee, cups, plates, a food service, and the rooms are tiny.

The location and car park are fine and it’s cheap, but the bed seems to have bed bugs.
