We stayed one day, left our bags, took a hot shower, walked to the Plaza de Armas and the artisan center to buy a poncho, returned to the hotel, left before breakfast, and they let us keep our bags until we came back from Machu Picchu; we’ll return to the same hotel. We loved it, best value for money.

Over the past one‑and‑a‑half months I’ve stayed at Wifala Hotel repeatedly; each time I returned to Cusco after another adventure, the enthusiastic and caring staff welcomed me with open arms. They always showed genuine interest, asked questions, and gave me their attention. Having stayed in countless hotels worldwide, the authentic connection here felt special—I wasn’t just another tourist or a number. Every return to Cusco felt like coming home, a docking station between journeys. I liked the rooms and loved the bed; I always slept so well. They even accommodated my breakfast preference by serving rice crackers instead of bread because I avoid gluten, which I found thoughtful. Nights in Cusco are quite cold, so they always gave me a hot water bottle to keep me warm in bed. Whenever I came back from another trip, they were eager to hear about my experiences. Their personal touch is what I especially appreciated, and they often suggested great new places to visit. They don’t just keep the hotel clean; they clearly enjoy adding an extra touch of friendliness to your stay. I absolutely recommend this place and look forward to returning in a few years.

The breakfast was good, but the room was very cold and the window glass didn’t close fully, letting in chilly air.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel, thanks to its excellent location, spacious and clean rooms, and extremely helpful staff. However, the breakfast options were a bit limited, and there was no elevator in the building.

I was thoroughly impressed with this hotel, finding everything to be muito bom - it all exceeded my expectations. While the breakfast was simple, it was sufficient, and I appreciated the effort. My only drawback was the lack of an elevator, but this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise great experience.
