The welcome was very friendly, the accommodation was spacious and very pretty, with a view of a lovely garden, quiet, and easy to reach.

The room was spacious and clean. I didn't mind that I was only sleeping, but the two of us had booked three rooms and the other two were locked. If that had been mentioned beforehand I wouldn’t have been so surprised when I got there. Also the courtyard was locked from the evening until check‑out, so we couldn’t use it. The stay was short, only one night and two days, so it wasn’t a huge inconvenience, but it was a bit of a let‑down.

The family room with garden view was large and very tidy. We were told to use the back garden door to enter and there was no one there… we were told to leave our luggage in the hallway before check‑in time. It worked out fine, but it made us uneasy to leave it out in the open. The location was okay, but a bit far from the main sights—though you could walk. We were there during the APEC summit and most hotels were fully booked.

The rooms are spacious and fully equipped, with good coffee and cakes, and the manager was very kind and let us in before the official check‑in time. We had booked the room hoping it had a garden view, as some photos in the description suggested, but it turned out to feel cramped: the windows are small and narrow, and the only large window faces a wall. The towels are also tiny, even for showering. In the morning light enters the room as early as 6 am because the wall next to the large window is low, making it hard to sleep if you’re sensitive to light. Contacting the manager via message proved impossible: we reached out before arrival to confirm the check‑in time as requested on Booking, but he never replied. On the checkout day at 10:45 am the bar was still closed and he didn’t show up even after another message. We left the key in the room and left.
