Most rooms feature king-size beds and a flat-screen TV and a mini fridge. Other facilities include a safe, ironing facilities, WiFi and 24-hour reception. The hotel is situated outside the congestion charge zone. Tower Bridge and London Bridge are both just over 1 mile away. Elephant and Castle Rail and Underground Station is only 3 minutes away by bus. The Shard, Westminster Abbey, and the London Eye are all just a short 5/10-minute bus journey away. The hotel’s spot is spot‑on – the bus stop is just a minute’s walk, and London Bridge station is a 9‑minute bus ride, so I’d highly recommend this place if you’re coming from Gatwick airport. The staff were genuinely friendly and the breakfast was pretty solid, with fresh fruit, a salad bar, tasty pastries, eggs, mushrooms, bacon and more. The only hiccup was my hairdryer not working, but that was a minor annoyance.

Breakfast was more than OK even though it was the same each day. Connectivity via the bus was great, and the nearest Underground stations were 20‑25 minutes walking away. The option to leave luggage at the hotel for a few hours after check‑out was handy, and the value for money was excellent. The room lacked a wardrobe and there was no coat rack at the entrance.
