“Expensive, nice modern hotel”
The hotel is modern and clean, and the onsen offers a great view of the forest. Parking on site is ample and convenient. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at the restaurant. The on‑site store has very limited food options, and the nearest convenience store is a 10‑15 minute walk away. Breakfast on the first day was sparse, while the second day’s spread was plenty; the first day should have matched the second. The coffee machine in the restaurant is subpar, delivering coffee that tastes worse than what you’d get at a convenience store. Front‑desk staff were okay but fell short of the high‑quality standard; for example, the man who checked me out didn’t greet me or ask about my stay, and when he thanked me he was busy shuffling papers with no eye contact, which felt insincere.
