“Run down!”
We’ve stayed here many times and love the location on pub groups and amazing Thai food. The hot tub water looked dirty, the garden and patio were overgrown with grass and weeds, and they have raised the prices while the place has gone downhill. Shame because we booked 2 nights for our wedding night as it has so many happy memories. Very disappointed.

The lodge was spotless, but the owner of the restaurant told us we couldn’t sit on the grass outside the lodge, even though we were previously allowed to and the sign said we could. I was a bit disappointed.
We booked last minute and were excited to try the 'view' restaurant, even asking for a late check‑out. They said “no, too late.” The onsite restaurant was closed without warning, so we had to take Ubers to eat elsewhere. When we got back, a cleaner let us stay 45 minutes longer, but we were locked out again. It was freezing, the lighting was awful, and we rang and rang with no answer. We had to shout at a neighboring property, who promised to contact the owner. After a lot of stress and cold, we finally got a message that we’d been given the wrong code. Because of all this, we didn’t get to see the nice views we paid for—it was pitch black. We asked for a partial refund, but the response was disgusting. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this horrible service.
Beautiful, clean property. I will definitely book again. The hot tub was incredible too ❤️
The spot is lovely and the facilities are great, especially the hot tub. I would have liked a hob to cook breakfast though.
