“Hotel fabuloso em Taipei”
The design by André Fu, the comfortable rooms, the pool, the small‑lunch service, and the spa were all excellent, but the place’s location was a drawback.

The rooms felt like a home away from home, beautifully arranged and full of personal touches that made us feel special, and the breakfast spread was lovely. However, vegetarian options were scarce; Rong Ju offered a tasty vegetarian set menu, but the other two restaurants made it hard to find a regular dinner for vegetarians.

The place is gorgeous, but the design feels aimed at white guests and can be a bit awkward for smaller Japanese bodies.

I have to add that my disappointment went far beyond the nighttime noise; the whole service experience fell short of what I expect from the Capella brand. Before we arrived, nobody mentioned the restriction on the bar drink voucher, and we only learned later that it had to be used within a specific time window. Because we had already booked dinner, we couldn’t use the voucher and felt it was a real waste. If the limitation had been explained at check‑in, we could have planned accordingly. My family members were kept awake by the noise and felt unwell, so the next morning they suffered a bad headache and missed breakfast. We were staying in a third‑person extra‑bed room, but the extra‑bed charge was tied to the breakfast fee, leaving no flexibility to adjust or accommodate our situation, which seemed inflexible. The breakfast service itself was underwhelming: staff were hard to get help from and we often had to wait before ordering, and several dishes were overly greasy, with the protein egg roll being especially disappointing.

The staff were genuinely thoughtful, everyone at the hotel was courteous and polite, and the room’s décor and atmosphere felt very comfortable.
