I found this hotel to be the only option in Raxaul. It’s very close to the border crossing, the train station, and the city center. The restaurant that’s attached has decent food. Inside, the hotel felt more like a dump. The fact that they’re renovating is fine, but that means they neglect the rooms. The floor in my room hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and there was a desk with a chair. The chair looked wobbly and collapsed when I sat on it.

The hotel was very close to the rail station and the Nepal border, but the bathroom mirror was dirty and a few insects appeared from somewhere.

This is a big problem I find in india is the bed sheets were not a fresh pair. I have worked in the hotel industry for many years, so I know if bed sheets have been changed from the previous occupancy, there are seratain characteristics to look for the sheets looked clean but I could tell they had been used. I did sleep in the bed ( but moved th sheets of ) as I had a very long day and had to get up very early the next morning. Just the bed sheets

“OK under the circumstances”

We chose this hotel because it was the only one near the train station, and the room was clean and spacious. However, aside from the owner, the staff were quite unfriendly and initially didn't even confirm our booking; the entrance looked like a construction site and the lift was still being built.
