“Fantastic stay, host and value”

We had a truly wonderful one‑night stay at House Mara after visiting Plitvice. Bojona is a fantastic, welcoming and helpful host who met us as soon as we arrived. She also gave us useful tips on where to cross into Bosnia & Herzegovina the next morning and even helped with our pronunciation for key cities and places :) The room was very comfortable, impeccably clean, had Wi‑Fi and was super close to both the park and some nearby restaurants. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We received a very warm welcome from our host who speaks French very well. She pointed us to a village restaurant (a very hearty and affordable meal, perfect after a day of hiking at Plitvice Lakes.), the Time restaurant where we were delighted. The room and bathroom were large and very comfortable, with a small efficient fridge. I absolutely recommend it. Nothing was wrong, everything was perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay at House Mara; the host welcomed us warmly, was very kind and responsive throughout, and offered excellent route suggestions around Plitvice Lakes plus extra nearby attractions; the room was clean and cozy, and we liked being able to brew tea or coffee at any time; parking was on the property, shops and cafés were close by, and Plitvice Lakes was just a 15‑minute drive away, making for a lovely stay that we’d definitely recommend.
