“Spero che cambi l'approccio, altrimenti è improbabile che ritornero'”
The hotel sits close to the sea and is easy to reach from the highways. I stayed in a junior suite that cost 150€ per person and the room was spacious with a small balcony overlooking the water. The breakfast, however, was disappointing: for a 4‑star hotel in Salerno where pastry tradition and product variety should be high, the buffet offered only standardised cold cuts, unappealing scrambled eggs, and stale focaccia and croissants from previous days. I expected local mozzarella, dairy products, cream desserts, puff pastries, and babà, but none were available. The tablecloth was paper, the napkins were tiny (from a dispenser), and the cutlery had to be taken from a self‑service station. There were no bottled water or juices, everything came from an automatic machine, and a fresh‑squeezed juice cost 5€.
