You can cook for yourself because the kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, washing machine, and laundry space; the amenities are complete and the price is very reasonable, and the hosts, a couple, are also very nice.

We stayed for a long time at Holy Spirit and it felt like a second home in Sri Lanka. The priests, Fr Pradeep and his wife, were incredibly kind, friendly and caring, making us feel like family from the instant we stepped in. The room was spotless, quiet, and well kept, everything arranged neatly for a relaxing stay. Their warm hospitality and generosity really moved us, especially the lovely surprise gift they gave us. Thank you, Fr Pradeep and madam, for such a beautiful experience – highly recommend Holy Spirit for anyone seeking a comfortable, homely stay.

It’s a hostel where you feel safe and very welcome. As a solo female traveler I felt very good. The people are very kind. You can use the shared kitchen, I slept very well. It’s also close to shops, the beach, the train and the bus. I recommend it.
