Perched on a hill in Samana, the hotel gives a lovely view over the bay and the surrounding area. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can pick from three different breakfasts, all adequate and tasty. Getting up there on foot can feel a bit steep. The room is simple, the bed a touch too small for two, but acceptable, and the cleanliness was moderate.

Nothing good to say – they behaved terribly towards us. Beware! They cancelled our reservation without notice, forcing us to find another hotel while we were already there. Their reservation handling was awful, and they left us stranded on the street because of unexpected construction.

The hotel is wonderful, offering a central view from the top of the city and sweeping sights over all of Bahia – truly amazing. The pillows are too high.

Honestly, it was a let‑down; they assigned me a claustrophobic room, whereas the pictures display brand‑new rooms with balconies that had nothing to do with what I received. The breakfast was also very limited, and that’s about it.
