It’s a basic place but it was clean and comfortable, and the location is great for stopping the night.

The room was cold, and the staff didn’t know how to switch the air conditioner to heating. Room 1 has no rear window and the bathroom window is closed, so it stays damp. It worked for one night, but not recommended for a longer stay.

The manager was attentive and available, and we felt very well taken care of. No complaints.

The rooms were impeccably clean, the paint fresh, and one of the two rooms even looked like its bathroom had just been renovated; the bedding was excellent, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and cooperative. The location was ideal for our needs, as we completed the entire Cabot Trail and used the place as a convenient start and finish. It is an older motel, so a bit more investment would help—weather stripping for sound insulation and a new sink in one room would improve things. I asked the local couple who run it about the owner, and they said the owner lives in Ontario; I understand that while they’re doing an excellent job, it must be difficult to manage all the necessary updates when the owner isn’t present.
