The staff were super attentive and the cooks? Absolutely amazing. The rooms were comfy, nights were quiet, and the hotel sits just a stone’s throw from the beach – really charming.

The place was friendly, the facilities were solid, and the food was great. Plus, those two quirky guardians of the pirate house and Luna added a fun touch.

Maria Monitos Hostel blew us away – it’s a peaceful oasis with a warm, clean vibe that blends Colombian tradition with Maria’s travel inspo. Breakfast and meals were generous, the garden and yoga space were gorgeous, and the beach bar with a swing bed was perfect for a Caribbean feel. Maria’s smile and help with everything from Isla Fuerte tips to other Colombian plans made us feel like friends.

The location was great – a beautiful part of Moñitos – but the room felt a bit tight. The lunch was a real letdown: no salt control and everyone got the same dish.
