Convenient city centre hotel. Own parking spaces.£5. 24 hrs . Needed a 2pm access for an afternoon event and the lad on Reception arranged it for us. Tea and coffee in the room. Bed and bedding all fine. We have stayed many times and it a shame to see it getting run down. No breakfasts No Bar. it has a certain aroma.as you walk inside maybe the old wood and polish? Fire alarm going on and off for about 30 seconds at about 9am gave us a scare

The staff were helpful and the room was clean, airy, and pleasant. The location is superb for all that Shrewsbury offers, and there is car parking available. The building itself is charmingly old. The furniture in the room was somewhat shabby, and at night there was some vehicle and pedestrian noise from the street outside.

Lovely sized room, had a bath which is unusual nowadays, parking availability for guests. Good comfortable bed, and nice and quiet at night. Had to ask for a roll of toilet paper as there was barely any left on the roll in the bathroom (no additional roll to hand), next morning around 8.30am water for bath was not hot, and when you turned the shower on, yes a good pressure but on cold, by the time you rotated the knob to a warmer level the pressure was non existent, also stained shower curtain, not a great look for an historic building

The hotel location was ideal. Lift was out of order to take us to level 3, considering my age. reception presentation was dull. Nasty smell in stairs. no food offers. Parking machine out of order. Hotel did not satisfy my exectations. Disappointed
