We arrived on Thursday 23 July to a closed door because the hotel was shut; the municipality had declared it unsafe, and according to the official notice it was a construction site. The alert was posted on 2 July, but the room charge was still debited on 7 July by Booking; we had to arrange another hotel on the spot.

We weren’t told that the hotel had been shut down for fire‑safety reasons; I had emailed early in the morning about rebooking, got no reply, called and was told no one was available, and then we showed up to locked doors. A sudden closure can happen, but the operator should have cancelled reservations and warned partners. Since everything was already paid, I now have to chase a refund, which I hope will be handled smoothly, though the paperwork and phone calls are a hassle.

The spot suited the purpose of our visit perfectly, yet the hotel was abruptly closed because of fire‑safety deficiencies, and nobody informed us within the two weeks before our arrival.

The spot is great for traffic and there’s a free parking lot, but the breakfast was bland, the room was tiny, the small window could only be tipped but not opened fully, there was no air‑conditioning or fan, and some of the staff seemed uninterested.
