The location is excellent, but construction work around the hotel was disturbing.

The room layout was fine, but the bathroom, which had no English signage, was dirty and chaotic; the street front Wi‑Fi was only in‑house and there was no internet even though it was advertised, and the breakfast required a prompt to be delivered. The front‑of‑house advertising did not match the reality.

I booked three rooms for a family of five at this 8.2‑rated hotel that claimed a free airport shuttle, but I never received any reply to my multiple messages about arranging the shuttle. The night before arrival, a woman who spoke Arabic called me and told me that no shuttle existed, let alone a free one. She sent me two fake taxi numbers—actually hotel staff and accomplices—and I had to pay $50 for the ride to the airport. To make things stranger, they dropped us off at a different hotel, Albussien Hôtel, about 500 m away, because the name was almost the same except for the missing “New.” It was 1 a.m. and I trusted the pseudo‑taxi more than my phone’s maps. The staff at the new place didn’t speak a word of English and stared at us oddly. We were given two cramped, dirty rooms where everything was broken and the place felt unsanitary—absolutely horrible. Only the next day did we realize we had stayed at a different hotel, rated 6.4, owned by the same proprietor (same phone number for both hotels). Shockingly, they told us the hotel we stayed in was better than the one we booked. I ended up paying for three rooms at the 8.2 hotel, supposedly with a free shuttle, and received a sub‑par 6.4‑rated stay with only two rooms. The whole experience felt like a scam; I can’t even imagine how they manage to keep any reviews. One word: FLEE. The staff were dishonest, uncooperative, and completely irresponsible.
