The staff were very helpful! We only stayed one night and left early the next morning. The hotel prepared a take‑away breakfast for us, which was very nice. We also appreciated having a kettle in the room. The room was comfortable. A slight bad smell came from the toilet, but it wasn’t a problem; just keep the bathroom door closed.

The room had a balcony with a view of the mountains and the Matterhorn. The dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was of high quality, the service attentive, and the staff (waitresses, cooks) were cheerful.

We ate at the hotel’s restaurant: it was just excellent!! Highly recommended. The restaurant has a large bay window with a magnificent view of the Zinalrothorn, a real pleasure to see the mountain lights change while enjoying a good meal. Otherwise the room was quite simple and the staff very friendly. Good value for money.

The location is fairly quiet and the public transport connection is good, with a bus stop right in front of the hotel; the room itself was clean. After the welcome, the first thing I was asked to pay was the Fr.4.- tourism fee, even though I had already paid the overnight rate in advance. Dinner was difficult for vegetarians: there was no hot vegan menu, only a bland soup. The raw vegetable‑fruit burger came with two leaves of lettuce, toast, butter and a Körbli potato‑fries, the only hot dish, for Fr.26.-. After a tiring day hike and a sandwich lunch, that was not what I wanted. Breakfast was very sparse: one type of bread (Pagnol), a cheese plate and raw ham. Natural yoghurt was not available. Fruits included hard nectarines, oranges that were unpleasant to peel at the table, large apples, and no fruit salad. The soft egg was overcooked, making the breakfast feel unworthy of the price.
