“Lastima que no aprovechen lo que tienen”
The lobby is very pretty, the ground floor overall is good, the restaurant is decent, and service is fine. Room 125 had a partially working air‑conditioning unit, and the TV was old and needed replacement; the room itself had no details, the living area was unclear, and the terrace had not been swept for days with abandoned furniture, giving it a neglected feel. Water is only supplied the first night; afterward you have to buy it at the dining area. The gardens could be spectacular but are poorly maintained.
“Beautiful and amazing hotel in an early 1900s palace located near all the best Madrid has to offer. Exceptionally friend”
An amazing hotel in a perfect spot near the park and a mile’s walk from La Latina, with the friendliest and most hospitable staff I’ve ever met.
I had a fantastic stay and everything was perfect.
Very close to the Salamanca neighborhood and Gran Vía, just a block from Parque del Retiro. The room was huge, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. There’s a lovely bar for a drink or snack, a small but complete gym, and the service was outstanding—everything was great.
“Well worth the cost. Beyond 5 star.”
First of all, the staff at this hotel were the friendliest, most helpful, most knowledgeable we encountered during our 2 week trip. The hotel is BEAUTIFUL - capital letters on purpose. Elegant, beautiful, historical. There's a Miro in the lobby and other stunning pieces of art everywhere. It is clear that time and attention went into the renovation. Breakfast is well worth the price. Authentically Spanish with lots of options in a gorgeous setting. It felt like breakfast in a real palace :) Location! Across the street from the Parque del Retiro, where you can wander for hours. Within walking distance of Prado and lots of interesting sights in the historic district. If I had to share one concern, not a big deal, but the shower drain was slow. But, again, the pros beat the cons for this stay. Wish we had more time and would have stayed another couple nights
