An elegant hotel perched on top of the city square, next to the brewery. The staff were helpful, and the large breakfast buffet was delicious.

“Good hotel, superb breakfast, but insects in room”

I’ve been here several times before and the rooms, bedding and ensuite are always clean and comfortable, and the breakfast selection is superb. Parking is often available on site, and there’s plenty of space on the town square just a five‑minute walk away. The hotel’s own restaurant is good. On this visit, however, I found and disposed of 14 flying beetles in the room—on the curtains, under the phone, and around the windowsill. The window had been left open before I arrived to air the room, and the insects came in during mid‑September for warmth. I sent a factual, polite email in Czech to management about the issue and also mentioned it to the lady at reception when I checked out, but received no response at all. For my onward journey along the same route, I stayed somewhere else.
