The breakfast was exceptional, with a lovingly prepared, abundant, and fresh spread
The hotel's location right on the promenade was a major plus
The view from my room was absolutely breathtaking
The service was excellent, but sometimes I felt like they were a bit too attentive during breakfast

“Es war bisher der schlechteste Aufenthalt an der Ostsee.”
We stayed five nights booked via Booking. We added one night at the hotel on short notice. Unfortunately, we were assigned a room on the land side instead of the sea side because the change didn’t reflect the sea side. We pointed out the mistake but had to wait almost an hour for a response. The hotel offered us four nights in a suite at the Preussenhof and then a move to our originally booked room. We declined because it was my birthday that day and I didn’t want to pack again. We settled for a discount and the offered room. The size was okay, but the furnishings were very worn—dirty carpet and spotted walls. After three days the shower water no longer drained properly. The worst part was that the room was never cleaned during our stay; a “cleaning” sign hung on the door. We had to get new towels and toilet paper from the reception. We’ve stayed in many hotels, but this price‑quality ratio doesn’t suit me. Daily construction at the neighboring hotel caused noise that could only be tolerated with windows closed. Breakfast and dining were fine. We wanted a stress‑free holiday, especially since my husband and I spent our birthday on the Baltic Sea. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel.
“Schönes Haus in guter Lage”
The location is great, and the breakfast spread is diverse with plenty of egg dishes, salads, fish, fruit, and vegetables; the rooms and bathrooms are spacious. The breakfast area is very clean and the tables are nicely set. Most staff are friendly and attentive, with only a few exceptions. However, there were no information brochures or holiday programmes about events on the rooms or in the lobby. Soap dispensers at the sinks were missing, and only a tiny bar of soap was available. The carpet and shower were heavily worn, and the checkout and key handover felt impersonal.
Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, immer ansprechbar
“Schön wars”
The beach is close. The balcony is for smokers.
“Leider wurde uns der Urlaub wegen erheblicher Rauchbelästigung verdorben.”
Breakfast was very varied, with plenty of options, and the staff were very nice. They let you cook a fresh fried egg in the pan. The beach is directly opposite the hotel, and a bike rental is located right behind the hotel on the promenade. A small fridge is in the room. The furniture in the room is somewhat dated and needs updating. Smokers are allowed on the balcony, which is very bad for non‑smokers because the smoke drifts straight into the room, making ventilation impossible and leaving the balcony unused—especially disappointing if you booked a sea‑side room. The reception staff were very unfriendly when we complained about the smoking and did not try to find a suitable solution. The taxi service to the station was discontinued. On Sundays no taxis run in town, so we had to walk the long way to the train with our luggage, which was exhausting for older people.
