The shuttle to downtown St. Augustine was handy and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The restaurant offered a solid menu, and I’d recommend the coconut shrimp. The hotel sits right on the beach, has a pool, and several private seating options. Only downside: there were just two elevators, and they moved at a frustratingly slow pace. The price felt high for a beach hotel.

We’d been to St. Augustine before, but this hotel stands apart. The location was great and the vibe was comfortable. It rained while we were there, yet the staff went above and beyond by adding extra indoor activities. A drawback was the lack of extra blankets, and the parking lot flooded.

The location was amazing—we loved being within walking distance to the beach. The lobby looked cute, fresh, and updated. The pool area was fun, with a place to rent beach equipment and a tiki bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great time and felt the proximity to the ocean justified the cost. It was a great place to stay! The only reason I couldn’t give it five stars is that the hotel portion seemed to need more TLC; it wasn’t as polished as the lobby. The lobby felt brand new, while the hotel itself felt older despite some fresh updates. Our first room smelled like mold, and the water turned orange when I turned it on. The staff moved us to a new room, but our phone didn’t work there either. When the staff checked it out, they said the fix would require us to move again. We decided to stay and use our cell phones to communicate with the front desk.
