We had a large group and the place was spacious! The owner's recommendations were spot on 😭👏✨
The owner, an English speaker, takes great care of guests. The old house, 70 years old, has been restored in the last three years by the owner and his son. It has four rooms (one of which is a two‑room unit that we stayed in) and shared areas like a kitchen, a traditional bath space, and a large tatami room, all set in a very quiet village about a 15‑minute walk from a train station. You can hike in the mountains just behind the house, where a Shinto shrine sits overlooking the coast, the city of Kan'onji, and the Shikoku mountains.
