“Excellent amenities and staff”

The staff were awesome, friendly, and extremely helpful; I’ll definitely return when I’m in the area again. The location was great, close to the hospital and a maze of shopping. Maybe a couch instead of the single bed would give guests a comfy place to sit instead of lying on the bed.

The hotel is within walking distance of Newmarket. I was a bit uneasy when, upon check‑in, they took my driver’s licence into a backroom and I couldn’t see what they were doing with it. My room was next to the laundry room, which was noisy all night, making it hard to sleep. I traveled with two other people, so three of us total, but we were only given two towels; we had to ask for an extra one for the third person, which should have been in the room from the start.

“Convenient comfortable stay close to the showgrounds”

The location was convenient because I was heading to The Food Show at the Auckland Showgrounds, so it wasn’t far to get there. Parking was available. The room was comfortable with a good bed and clean. I would definitely stay again if I’m attending any events around the area.

“Absolutely disgraceful”

Its proximity to where we wanted to be. It was filthy. There seemed to be an ear wax blob on the wall, some bodily fluid on the valance, the lock on the sliding door was damaged, the bench was water‑damaged so it wasn’t laminating, and the shower was awful. It felt very, very dirty and I booked it for my husband and his business partner, who was embarrassed to invite him to stay there.
