Location. The room was dirty! Dusty! Chipped paint in the rooms, dirty stained towels in the BR. It was extremely hot on Redding and all of the ice machines were broken

It was possibly better than sleeping in my car. The room was so run down, and felt disgusting. My first impression was that it must have been used to house homeless people over Covid. We slept in our clothes and didn’t walk in the room or bathroom without shoes on. There were stains on the bedding and carpet. The walls were so thin, that by the time I left the next morning I could have told you pretty much anything you wanted to know about the grandpa who slept in the room next door, from fishing trip stories to the special diet of his grandkids. I’m pretty sure he had no idea that it sounded like he was sitting in my room talking on the phone. I believe it was safer to sleep there than continuing on driving over night, so for that reason we spent the night
