The hostel sits outside the usual spots I’d been around, but that made it feel secluded with a river just behind it, and the night opening for locals was a blast; the place was quiet and the dorm was comfy. I wish there were more fruit options at breakfast.

The facilities were solid, and at the end I finally figured out how to set the a/c to a warmer setting.

The hotel had an old‑school vibe that I found kind of cool, but I never got to try the sauna so I can’t say how it was; overall the stay was okay, maybe better or worse if I’d used the sauna. I didn’t appreciate the lack of sound‑proofing in the rooms, as I could hear other guests, and the front desk staff were not particularly polite—nothing mean, just not the usual Thai courtesy.

The staff were super friendly, and I got an upgrade from the dorm to a room because of a cancellation; it was great value for money and the food was good. Nothing to complain about.
