A great theme hotel with a nice beer garden/restaurant, the rooms are spacious with good beds, and the supermarket is just a few minutes’ walk away, but there was no breakfast.

The equipment was good, but the early closing time and traffic noise were issues.

The staff were amazing and very helpful, especially Annie 👏 who recommended traditional local food and wine for us, which was delicious; the room was great fun, and the garden and bar/restaurant are amazing, so there was nothing to fault about our stay here—thank you.

The hotel is close to the starting station of the steam locomotive, but the reception only opens at 16:30 even though booking.de says check‑in should be available from 15:30.
