The staff were very friendly, the hotel is tiny with only 7 rooms, it’s very quiet, the pool is nice, and it’s just 10 minutes from Samara. I would have liked a buffet breakfast instead of the limited Italian options.

Jorge and his team were super nice and always helpful. The property is very beautiful and also recommended for families with small children. Especially the pool is great for kids because it has different depths, and there’s even a section where little ones can stand on their own. The place is very clean and breakfast is really tasty. Jorge suggested a short hike right around the corner from the hotel, where we found not only a few beautiful coves but also a family of 10‑12 monkeys in the treetops. By car, Playa Carillo is only a few minutes away, so you can quickly drive to the beach. The beach is also very nice and less touristy than other beaches (no hotel complexes, etc.). Since you can’t buy anything on site, you have to bring your own food and drinks, which didn’t bother us at all. We also had to cancel a tour that Jorge had booked for us at short notice because of a medical emergency. Jorge rescheduled the tour for us 30 minutes earlier and also arranged contact with a doctor outside regular hours. It could have gone worse, but it didn’t. We felt really well taken care of and would love to come back.
