Albergo Locanda Alambra, a family-run guest house, is 300 metres from De Ferrari Metro Station. Bright rooms with flat-screen TVs and pastel décor feature parquet floors. Some rooms have private bathrooms. The hotel is close to Genoa Acquarium and San Lorenzo Cathedral, with Fiera di Genova Exhibition Centre 2 km away and Genoa Principe Train Station 3 metro stops distant.

The hotel is in a wonderful historic building in central Genoa, with well‑kept stairs and an elevator. Our room was spacious, had a beautiful antique wooden floor, and was clean. Looking out from the small decorated balcony was very charming, and we slept well despite the central location. The only issue was that the headboard of the bed showed signs of wear.

The location was excellent, but the mattress was bad and there was no electric kettle for hot water; when I asked the owner or manager for one, he was reluctant to provide it.
