“It was OK for a one night stay but I wouldn't book again.”
The location is right in the city center, quiet, breakfast included and pretty decent, and the staff were very friendly. It was easy to find and well signaled. However, a foul smell wafted from the bathroom as soon as we entered the room, and there was a noticeable amount of dust on the ventilation system’s air intake grille. We booked a Superior Triple Room, but what we received was basically a double room with an extra bed added. An electrical socket was oddly placed right in the middle of the bed area. The room was extremely hot. At first we thought the air conditioner was broken because it was hanging out of its socket, but it was actually working—just missing the part that directs airflow. The AC remote seemed to work, but in reality it was non‑functional, so the only way to turn the AC off was to climb onto a chair and unplug it from the socket. The overall appearance of the hotel gave the impression that it was in the middle of a renovation, with mattresses and pieces of furniture stored in the hallways. In the courtyard, near the patio, there was a corner that looked like it had been set up for children, with children’s chairs. When one of our kids sat on one of the chairs, a staff member told us that children were not allowed in that area. We later learned that the board underneath the chairs was actually covering the entrance to the cellar. Overall, the room and common areas felt poorly maintained and, in some cases, unsafe.
“Для ночівлі чудовий варіант”
A pretty hotel, good for a single night. We were exhausted, so we just slept. Breakfasts were very tasty. The only downside was the strong smell of cleaning chemicals; the room couldn’t be ventilated.
Convenient location, very quiet and peaceful.
It’s superb. I’ve stayed at Porto Franco countless times and always come back with pleasure each time. I feel at home there. No complaints!
The staff’s friendliness, central and quiet location, cleanliness, and excellent breakfast. We visit Brăila almost every year and always stay at this guesthouse; it never disappoints us. Heartfelt thanks!
