The hotel's location was a major plus - it's right in the heart of the city, close to all the main attractions.
And let's not forget the views from the breakfast area, which were just stunning.
The staff were super attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

I’d say the location is fine, but that doesn’t excuse what happened. My husband and I stayed five nights and the experience was disastrous. We paid about 320€ per night with only breakfast included, which is far above the typical Malaysian market; 5‑star hotels in Kuala Lumpur usually cost under 200€. On top of the financial loss, a contractual issue arose: we paid for a certain room type but were given a different, lower‑tier room. Talking to the check‑in staff didn’t resolve anything. The room had serious hygiene and maintenance problems: dust everywhere, unwashed surfaces, sheets with large yellow stains, and every morning nauseating fumes from the bathroom drains. Before we even entered, our luggage was left unattended outside the room. The worst happened during the last nights when I was repeatedly bitten by bed bugs (bed bugs/insects). I have photographic evidence of the skin lesions. Because the bites were severe, I had to seek medical help at a private clinic in Kuala Lumpur upon arrival, where a doctor treated me (and I still have the prescribed therapy). Even though we reported the bugs to reception, the hotel only changed the sheets, not the mattress protector with heavy stains, and offered no room change. Customer service was lacking; on several occasions, requests for simple hand towels were met with extremely rushed and indifferent responses.
“Struttura vecchia e da ristrutturare in una posizione fantastica.”
The property sits in a prime spot overlooking a beautiful bay. It’s old and poorly maintained; rooms, the restaurant, and beach loungers need fixing, but at least the food is good.
The hotel's location was a major plus - it's right in the heart of the city, close to all the main attractions. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant tables was a bit of a letdown. We were looking forward to enjoying a meal in the hotel's dining area, but unfortunately, the tables were often sticky and dirty. Still, the hotel's central spot made up for some of the other minor issues we encountered.
“Parfait”
I arrived a bit nervous after reading some negative comments about cleanliness, but the room turned out to be spacious, spotless and very peaceful. The bungalows are old, so some furniture shows wear and the cleaning isn’t exactly spring‑fresh—there was dust under the bed—but the room, sheets, bathroom and toilet were immaculate, with no signs of cockroaches or bedbugs. We stayed in a double bungalow and a twin‑bed bungalow with sea views, both of which were excellent; perhaps the rear bungalows aren’t as good, though I didn’t hear any complaints nearby. Breakfast offered a great variety of local and European dishes, and the beach—by far the prettiest on the island—provided easy turtle spotting and shaded loungers, something other beaches (even those on Kecil Island) lack. A spa on‑site let us get massages, and we could easily walk to another beach for more dining options. The only thing that bothered me beforehand were the negative reviews that had stressed me out.
“Il resort più bello dell' isola ma gestito male”
This resort has a truly unique setting, with wooden bungalows blending seamlessly into the jungle surroundings. It's not uncommon to spot varanis, monkeys, and even the occasional snake, which adds to the wild charm. The beach in front of the resort is stunning, with a picturesque landscape and a variety of marine life, including tiny blacktip reef sharks and turtles that seem to ignore you while you watch and take photos. The massage and reflexology services are also a highlight.
