“Miserable, Lucky we only had booked the one night”
The property was well maintained, the room was tidy, and text communication was clear with good information. The living area’s main window had only a light lace curtain and no blinds, so we had no privacy from the shared courtyard and no insulation against the cold. The reverse‑cycle air conditioner warmed the main room, but the bedroom stayed chilly, and the bedding was insufficient for the season—only one small blanket in the cupboard, no duvet or duvet cover. The hot‑water system was on‑demand; the kitchen tap never delivered hot water no matter how long it ran, while the shower and bathroom sink worked fine. The building was a light‑frame fibro structure, unlike the other brick buildings that were mostly empty. Some guests might not be comfortable with an electric blanket, so we used it briefly and turned it off after warming the bed, but there weren’t enough covers to keep the bed warm. We ended up sleeping in track pants and hoodies to stay warm.
