The staff were friendly, there was a cooking area, free tea and water, a free coffee machine, and a lockable valuables box. I stayed in a four‑bed room that was packed with luggage and clothes; the other guests seemed to be long‑term stays of several weeks, which was evident in the room’s appearance. Around 8 pm, someone cooked rice with a rice cooker and processed other Asian foods on the room’s kitchen, so the room smelled like an Asian restaurant all evening and night. The lights stayed on past midnight. Because I couldn’t sleep with the smell, I left the room at 6 am. The hostel management should prevent guests from cooking in rooms when a kitchen is available, and the clutter of clothes and items should be stopped with clear instructions on which portion of the room belongs to which bed. There was no storage or wardrobe for clothes because everything was filled by the long‑term guests in the other beds. Despite these problems, the value for money is OK, the staff are courteous and friendly, and you can cook in the kitchen and enjoy free tea and water in the lounge. I would come back for a second stay.
