The hotel is right by the snack street and only about a ten‑minute walk to Xuanwu Lake, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The downside was a huge air‑conditioning unit on the fourth floor that rattled the windows, so on the eighth floor I couldn’t open them at night. They offered to move me up to the tenth floor, but I just stayed where I was.

The location hit the sweet spot for everything I needed, making it easy to get around the city. On top of that, the staff were genuinely helpful whenever I asked for anything.

The hotel’s location is fine, close to the main attractions, but the moment I opened the door the room had a strong, unpleasant smell. The interior décor felt cheap and the overall quality of the furnishings left a lot to be desired.
