“Gorgeous view”
The view was stunning. The place was a bit old-fashioned, which was fine, but the baths weren’t well explained, so I felt uneasy using them.

The inn had only one washing machine and one dryer for the whole property.

The staff were wonderful, patient, and had a retro vibe—there was an ice‑cream station in the foyer, an antique clock in the room, and the balcony offered a great view. We also enjoyed authentic Japanese breakfast and dinner, and the free on‑site parking was handy. The building is old, but we knew that before booking; not everything can be brand new, and that isn’t always a bad thing. A car is necessary to see any nearby sights.

The view of the channel and bridge was outstanding. I appreciated that each room had its own balcony, letting the outside come inside. The rooms were basic but spacious and had all the essentials—slippers, a muscle‑massaging tool, etc. There’s a public bath for a warm soak. We drove, so getting there was easy, but if you don’t drive it might be harder. The breakfast was Japanese‑style and just okay. The staff were surprisingly helpful; the front desk tried to speak English with us, which we appreciated. The furnishings were old.

The hotel sits on a hill with a stunning view of the Kanmon Bridge, and the room, while a bit dated, was spacious and spotless. The beds were large and cozy, and the balcony offered a sunrise view. Breakfast was tasty, and overall I’d highly recommend this place.
