The setting was beautiful and the staff were friendly. The chateau itself was very nice, though the rooms were on the smaller side; they are in the old stable building but newly built and tastefully designed. The bed was hard for me, and the parking for guests is the same as for visitors – we had a disability placard and it would have been nice to park closer.

The surroundings and geographical setting were great. The room was comfortable, well equipped, and offered a view of the courtyard, gardens, and the castle. The calmness was appreciated, and I could walk in the garden after visitors closed. The bedding was very good. The value for money wasn’t great for breakfast: homemade cakes were good, but the basics (coffee, pastries, breads that seemed thawed, and fruit at the limit) were lacking.

Everything was exceptional, there were so many options, and the homemade produce made it even more special; there was nothing to dislike.

We were pleasantly surprised; everything surpassed what we expected. The rooms and staff were top‑class, and breakfast was great. The gardens are a highlight even in the drought, and as guests we enjoyed early‑morning and evening access outside normal public hours. Will we return? Absolutely!
