“Dated decor”
The hotel is close to the park and the breakfast was good, yet the rooms were very dark, dated, and felt like an old parlor from the 1950s.

The location is decent, but there are plenty of better hotels nearby even in the same category, so I’d strongly recommend choosing another property. The hotel itself is very dated. When we entered the room, an overpowering, unpleasant perfume filled the air, making us wonder if it was masking another odor; we had to keep the window open for over two hours before it cleared. The TV remote didn’t work, mold was visible on the bathroom ceiling, the sink drain had no stopper so small items could fall in, the bathroom floor was sticky and covered in footprints, and even the bedsheets felt sticky and unpleasant. Check‑in was equally disappointing: the receptionist was unfriendly from the start. When I mentioned the room upgrade shown in my booking, she said no upgraded rooms were available and offered no alternative, even though those rooms still appeared available. She also initially told me breakfast was not included; only after I showed her my booking confirmation stating that it was included did she reluctantly agree, while insisting that free breakfast had ended on September 1. If the policy had changed, the information should have been updated. Both card terminals were unable to process my deposit, so she asked me to manually enter my card details. After having experienced fraudulent charges in a similar situation elsewhere, I politely declined and asked whether I could leave cash instead. She accepted my $100 deposit and said I could collect it from another receptionist at checkout the next morning. She then put the cash into a worn envelope. Since a different staff member would be returning it, I asked whether I could take a photo of the envelope to help identify it. She became angry, refused, and said, “I feel like you don’t trust me.” This was a reasonable request to document a cash deposit, and her reaction was completely unnecessary. Between the room’s condition, cleanliness issues, inaccurate booking information, and the way we were treated, this was a very unpleasant stay. I would not recommend this hotel.

The location is great and the hotel looks sexy, but the toilet was outdated and small, and the price was a little steep—though everything on the American side is similarly pricey.

I loved the building and its architecture, and the location is perfect! However, there was a lot to complain about: the bathroom in the room was actually disgusting, it didn’t even look cleaned, with nasty stuff all over the walls. I requested a different room and called ahead, but they said it was already booked. The lady checking us in was not the nicest. The booking stated breakfast was included, but it’s really $16 extra. The 19th floor is basically just a larger room, not a bar. I was expecting so much more. This was for my fiancé’s birthday and it was a huge let‑down. The fireplace was missing rocks around the edges. The place needed dusting and was cleaned badly! I didn’t see the shower until morning and it was bad too—no water pressure and just gross! I loved the building but don’t think I’ll stay there again! I’m allergic to mold and mildew and I had to take Benadryl this morning, ruining my whole day!

The spot was decent and the breakfast was solid, with coffee, tea, and fresh cookies in the lobby. Dave, who ran the breakfast station, was well‑versed about the area and did his job nicely. The hotel itself felt old‑fashioned and smelled like wet dog as soon as we stepped out of the elevator. We were booked for a king room but got a queen instead. They tried to charge us $16 per person for breakfast until I pointed out it was listed as free. The housekeeping staff never cleaned the hot tub after we used it, so I had to do it myself. Not a place I’d recommend.
