Bispingen was a pleasant and cozy place. The reception welcomed us warmly and showed us where we could park for free on the farm. Breakfast was a huge stress point! Our booking at Hotel Harmshof Bispingen didn’t include breakfast in the room rate, so we paid extra at check‑in to enjoy a calm breakfast before departure, but that didn’t happen. Just before 9:00 am, almost everything was already gone: no bread, no spreads, no fruit, no vegetables, no scrambled eggs, no bacon, etc. Breakfast was supposed to run until 10:00 am. I asked the man in charge of breakfast if he could refill the buffet, and he shook his head nonchalantly but did go into the kitchen and made scrambled eggs for me. Regarding bacon he simply said “keine,” meaning none. When we left the breakfast room, the breakfast manager wanted us to pay again, even though we had already paid the day before. Note: The hotel has no dinner restaurant, even though they claim a restaurant on Booking; there is a pizzeria within walking distance.

There was no breakfast at all! On the day of arrival we were told there would be breakfast for an extra 12,50 € starting at 07:00 am. The next morning at 07:00 am there was no breakfast buffet. No staff were present at check‑out. I have called repeatedly and still haven’t received an invoice!

The staff were nice, the room was great, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Nothing to complain about.

The location fit our needs and the room was decent with a soft, comfortable bed, AC, and a reasonable size. The AC emitted a weird, artificially sweet smell when running, the bathroom had visibly uncleaned spots under the sink, and the staff seemed rather lackluster and inexperienced. Breakfast, for which we paid extra, started 15 minutes late on Saturday because there was no bread or rolls yet, and there was no apology.
