We absolutely loved our stay at Buffelshuis Safari Camp! My wife and I had a wonderful time; the place was beautiful, clean, quiet, and incredibly peaceful—exactly what we needed for a relaxing getaway. Everything was well taken care of, and the tranquil surroundings made the experience even more special. Nothing was lacking; it was great.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful and remarkably restful from start to finish, providing the perfect peaceful getaway to truly unwind and recharge. I find it distasteful to ask for a R5,000 deposit and then wait until the last minute to return it (19 days in total), so I’m giving it a 1/10. It’s unclear why it has to be held that long; perhaps the company is benefiting from the interest on everyone's deposits? Maybe it took 19 days to decide whether the property was in an acceptable state or not. I hope management reads this and either refunds the deposit immediately after the stay, or better yet, stops asking for a deposit like 99% of other accommodations.

The house offers secluded privacy, 100% security, and hosts respond 100%; the only downsides were the walk to the rooms in the morning and the troublesome monkeys, but we still had the time of our lives.

I stayed in a modern tented house that was clean, comfortable, and had brand‑new facilities, and the surroundings were quiet and calm. However, the booking company’s policies were very unappealing; I had to chase a R5000 refund and it took a month to get it back. I also paid for an extra night to check in early, and there’s a penalty if you arrive after hours.

If you’re looking for a quick break from the daily grind, Buffelshuis delivers a unique and tranquil experience; the tents are well equipped and cozy, the hot tub is a 20/10, and the lion’s roar during braaing adds a lovely background symphony. Wi‑Fi is good, especially since there’s no mobile signal.
