The proximity (10 min by car) to Coron airport and the peaceful setting “in the middle of nature, forest and river” were positives, but the breakfast was very brief, required ordering at least an hour in advance, and the fruit juices were diluted with water – a shame.

After a morning accident and an ER visit, the hotel moved us to a room closer to the lobby to avoid stairs, and the two‑bedroom room was a generous help that I appreciated; the room was nice and the surroundings beautiful.

Judith and the staff were great, the food was excellent and the menu offered enough variety to eat different meals each day; a pair of crows that travel from cabin to cabin and deliberately wake you in the morning is quite adorable; they provide a motorbike that can carry two people at highway speeds, which I used daily. The resort offers full service, so you don’t worry about food or amenities, and if you venture out you’ll find charming provincial stores run by friendly locals with cold beer and fuel for your moto. The Wi‑Fi often drops briefly, but the remote setting is intentional and not meant for internet use; it’s better to use your phone for photos and videos than scrolling Instagram.

The location is great in the middle of the island (super quiet at night, sit back on the terrace and enjoy the sound of the birds and insects!), the food is excellent, the room is clean with an A/C unit that works well and isn’t directly facing the beds (a pet peeve of mine), the shower is hot, the staff are kind and helpful, communication is very good – perfect!

The main dining area offers a stunning view of the river, perfect for watching sunsets, but the transfer fee to the airport was 850 PHP.
