The staff were friendly and the place has a great spot with a large area to relax and enjoy nature, even with horses. I started with the assumption that if everyone stayed polite and turned a blind eye to shortcomings, nothing would ever change here, so I’m telling it straight. The room, comfort, and the interiors of the manor and hotel were fine and matched the price – everything inside was clean and tidy. The surroundings have huge charm, with beautiful trees (poplars, plums, walnuts) and the grounds themselves are great for relaxation. Unfortunately, the management leaves a lot to be desired. It felt like the place had opened a day before my arrival after a year-long break. My cleanliness standards are normal, but when paying for a holiday I expect a well‑maintained space. Meanwhile, the surrounding area was simply neglected: the beach was unkempt, and the benches and relaxation zones were poorly maintained. The water eye was dirty (probably cyanobacteria), and the staff’s warning, “Please swim at your own risk,” speaks for itself. The water bikes (“attraction” with an extra fee!) were in terrible visual condition. In the duck ponds, water reached the ankles. The staff probably clean them only when someone rents them – it should be the other way around. Dining is another issue that needs immediate changes. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but after years of traveling I’ve never seen such a modest selection. Dinner? Pierogi with game meat and nuggets were edible, but the pizza I ordered was a complete failure. It was served on a hard, thawed crust… The popular frozen pizza from the market actually resembles an Italian original more than what was served on site. After that meal, I preferred to go to a nearby village shop for bread and ham. That’s not what a holiday with a restaurant on hand should be. The only real plus was the staff – a young, energetic, and very helpful team that compensated for organizational gaps. 7/10 is the highest I can give for this stay.
