The location was amazing, the room was basic but perfect, the food was so good that we ate there every evening. The atmosphere was wonderfully relaxed, and the hospitality was great. The only downside was a small hill leading up to the hotel.

“Homey vibe in laid back Tarrafal”

The staff were incredibly kind and patient, especially Evandro who welcomed us warmly and mixed a fantastic cocktail. His assistant—though I never learned her name—was also very friendly and an excellent cook; dinners were delicious. The room felt a bit odd, but it gave a “living en plein air” vibe. On the downside, the bathroom was outdoors and would have been shared if we had a large group, which wasn’t what the listing promised. The room’s external exit onto a common walkway meant that letting in light or air also opened the room to anyone walking by.

“Pour une nuit pas plus”

The large terrace overlooking the village and sunset was great for dinner and breakfast. The lounge/vestibule was pleasant. Evandro was a bit moody: he was warm at the start but then distant for the rest of our stay. There was no breakfast suggestion for an early morning departure. The room was small, poorly insulated against heat, and extremely hot with a very loud fan. At 6 am there was almost no water, no pressure, and just a tiny trickle.

“Magnifique coucher de soleil !”

The view was stunning, the price‑to‑quality ratio was good, and the meals were tasty. The bedside lamp shed a bit of light on the room without a shade.

The accommodation is excellent. The staff are highly attentive and extremely friendly. The view over the beach is beautiful.
