Chambre "Lavande" - Le soleil des Cévennes

The decor was pretty, the bed was comfortable, the small desk area was useful, the place was clean, the newly renovated bathroom looked nice, and Christine’s welcome and attentiveness made our breakfast together in the space between the room and bathroom a sweet moment; we also appreciated the tea/café platter that came free of charge. Nothing to complain about.

“A refaire”

The room was spacious, the bedding comfy, and we even had a private garden. The reception was flawless.

Breakfast was delicious and thoughtfully arranged; the dining area felt like a dream. Christine and Diego attended to guests with attentive, helpful, and warm care, yet remained pleasantly reserved. Watching them interact with their animals was a lovely experience. We wholeheartedly recommend the place and would return anytime; saying goodbye was hard. There was no single aspect we didn’t like.

“Belle prestation mais qui mériterait quelques améliorations.”

The place was quiet and the service quality high: a brand‑new, nicely decorated room and bathroom. Breakfast was decent. The exterior signage was confusing; the “Soleil des Cévennes” sign should have a left arrow pointing onto the poorly maintained path and a second arrow at the first crossroads. When I called at 15 h to ask if earlier arrival was possible, the reply came only at 16 h 30 because I mistakenly said 17 h. Next time I’ll avoid specifying an arrival time to avoid this hassle. I also found it annoying that the air‑conditioning stops working below 30 °C outside; at 28 °C we’d still expect the advertised comfort. A TV would be welcome. Finally, the Lavande room has a steep staircase that’s hard to climb for people with mobility issues like myself.

“Gîte très accueillant et reposant”

The room and bathroom were very clean, well equipped, and stylish. The owners were very welcoming, and the place was very quiet.
