The location was good, but the hotel was filthy and nasty; the receptionist was rude and there was no remote for the TV in the room, and the front desk insisted there were none.

This is the worst hotel I have ever booked for my judges. I have pictures proving the rooms were absolutely filthy, with blood stains on the chairs, mold in the bathroom, and stains on the bed sheets; there was nothing good about it at all. My judges entered their room, immediately left, and the hotel refused to refund my money because the rooms were uninhabitable.

Conveniently located near downtown Abbeville and Calhoun Falls State Park, it was a perfect spot for a fishing trip. A gas station/convenience store right next door made it easy to get up early and head to the lake, and the staff were very friendly. The beds were comfortable and groceries and food were close by. It was also great for campers who wanted to escape the rain or just needed a place to clean up for a night or two. There wasn’t much to complain about.
